Canna Ehemanni is a very distinct heirloom beauty with graceful long tubular blooms of rich cerise pink. A trait of Ehemanni is that her flowering heads eventually cascade downwards from the weight of her many blooms and are held well above large green foliage. Ehemanni currently reaches 2.6 meters tall at my new location however I've seen her growth well beyond that. I am very grateful to have found Ehemanni again as I grew this many many years ago, the stock I currently grow was sourced in Central Victoria around 2015 and since then I have shared this clean virus free specimen to a few other canna enthusiasts to grow on and distribute. Canna Ehemanni is a splendid hybrid from canna species Iridiflora. Ehemanni was raised by M. Annee of France in 1863 and named after Herr Ehemann of Stuttgart, Germany. A 1895 reference is written as Ehemanni, nowadays her name is found to be spelt ehemannii -extra i.
