Canna Hercules with red shaded flowers that quickly progress to a very pretty shaded rose red tone that are overlaid with slender deeper colored red splotching's, the flowers also progress to a paler pink -rose red shade. This is a very unusual colored canna that also shows a flush of apricot when looked at in the flesh and has cream on reverse of the three staminodes though no prominent cream on labellum, very hard to describe its coloring's and from a distance it appears as dark pink when viewed alongside other red cannas. Canna Hercules shows up to 6 flowering heads on the one stem, green foliage and grows 1.8 meters tall in my garden. I am very grateful to have this pretty gem in my canna collection and its another in the Gle Series of Australian cannas and it also sets seed.
