Canna Madame Butterfly

Canna Madame Butterfly an heirloom from the 1930s and a variety from the Grande Opera Canna Series. Madame Butterfly is a joy to view with big, beautiful blooms that are overlaid with soft peach pink, heavily splotched yellow to cream with a fine margin, in cooler weather Madame Butterfly flowers are smaller and are a more darker pink in colour with minimal splotching’s. Madame Butterfly’s gorgeous flowers are held above green foliage and she grows up to 1.7 meters tall, when grown well she produces huge individual blooms (14 cms across). This is a superb cream of the crop canna, I have an old reference that describes her as~ MME BUTTERFLY with Lovely pastel tints of shell pink, with undertones of yellow markings produce a constant surprise and delight.
